Note this is the Australian edition, fine if you are Australian. It used measurements common to Australia for instants mmol/L (millimoles per liter) rater than mg/dl {milligrams per deciliter).
This book made it simple to understand the diabetes and the dietary requirements. When you or a loved one is newly diagnosed it is scary and overwhelming. At least it was for me!! What food should i buy, what should I avoid, what is too much? There were a lot of questions! This book is great because you can read straight through to skip around to the areas that are pertinent to you in that moment. The wording is easy to read and understand while also explaining everything crystal clear! I would recommend for anyone who needs to get a handle on Type 2 Diabetes.

This is a very useful starting point if you're recently diagnosed.I'd been reading a lot of websites of variable quality, and getting increasingly confused, but this book cleared up all of that confusion, leaving me with a good understanding of how and why this disease comes about, and how to start dealing with it.It's well written and easy to read, but contains a lot of information presented in a logical and authoritative way.As an added bonus, it isn't American, so you get metric measurements as used in most of the world.
You need to warn purchasers that this book was written and published in Australia and the measurements are different than in the U.S.A. for blood sugar, etc.
