About the Author
Dan Wickwire was born in California in 1951 and grew up in the city of Bakersfield. His military service included three years in the U.S. army, during which he was trained as a medic, a paratrooper, and a Green Beret. He served a tour of duty as a combat medic in Vietnam. Dan’s education includes: Bakersfield College, earning an associate’s degree in liberal arts. Multnomah School of the Bible, studying Bible, Hebrew, and Greek, and earning a bachelor’s degree in theology. Columbia Biblical Seminary & School of Missions, earning a master’s degree in Bible. Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL); the University of Texas at Arlington; and the University of Oklahoma at Norman, studying linguistics. Dan earned a master’s degree in linguistics at Pacific Western University. Ankara University in Ankara, Turkey, completing one year of doctoral studies in Islamics in the Department of Islamic Theology. Dan is married to Devri and is the father of three sons: Derek Yekta, Andrew Nadir, and Peter Can. He is an ordained minister who has served as a church planting missionary in Turkey for twenty-eight years. Dan and Devri currently reside in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Thank you Dan for putting these words together to help me in my research on Islam, and particular providing a simple and clear perspective on that one famous "Christians have changed the Bible" as hailed by our Moslem friends. I pray for more of this kind of objective works to facilitate religious dialogues in our generation.
This book and the author experience are very good for understanding the Muslims world and why they avoid to read the Bible. This also is useful for showing that if they knew, they would read and believe as Christians. It also compares Scriptures and Messages. I certainly recommend this book for both, Christians and Muslims, for getting to know each other.
I haven't read the book yet since I just received it today. However, for $16 I was expecting something a little more weighty. This book is 95 pages. About as thick as a pencil... If I had known that I probably wouldn't have purchased it honestly.
I'm so thankful for the easy o understand format of this book! It begins with enough background on the author, that I feel very comfortable reading what he says on the subject. In a hundred years, I would not be able to dig through & comprehend the Arabic, Hebrew, & Greek that is incorporated into this book. Dan Wickwire has done a terrific job of laying it all out in a comprehensible manner. I'm taking notes! He explains important Greek, Hebrew, and Arabic words, why the wording matters & how the number of words shows that the Bible indeed has NOT been changed! He shares important parts of the Qur'an & how it confirms the Bible as the Word of God. Although it will take me quite awhile to soak it all up, this is a terrific crash course, and a great tool for reference.
