As someone who prefers having physical copies of books I was really excited for these essays to finally get a real printing in English & if you are interested at all in Spengler the essay "Pessimism?" is a must read.That said, the "wrapper" is pretty bad:- No table of contents. Want to find one of the shorter 2 page essays or even see what essays are included? Better slowly flip through the whole book.- The red "New Edition" thing is actually part of the cover & not just something for the amazon page. On my hardback edition it doesn't even line up with the top of the cover. Totally disturbs the clean black & white cover.- The hardback edition is *extremely* rigid. I wouldn't recommend it.Some other things that didn't impact my rating, but would be nice:- It's not always clear about if the citations are Spengler's or the translator's.- No index. Spengler makes tons of references all throughout his works & it'd be nice to have a way to help find specific references.- On pages 18 to 19 the citations have their number reset from 7 to 1.- A translator's preface would have been nice especially given that there are some essays getting their first English publication in here.

Whereas, communist socialism is STILL TAUGHT, even though it has never worked … not once. Prussian Socialism (aka German State Socialism, National Socialism) worked on THE FIRST RUN, during Otto von Bismarck's reign. But some of it can be seen in Fredrick the Great's era also.# NOW, Under the radar but, the Nordic Countries and China have used this rightest-end Socialism, in the modern era. But, in China's case, the people are still ruled by totalitarian communism... so actually it is a blend of communism - for oppression of the people and Nazi economics in business dealings.... interesting!Oswald Spengler is a freakin' genius. Highly underrated!!!!
