Reminded me of the TV shoe lone ranger, the heat level Just didn't seem necessary It really doesn't add to the story line. Average western romances with humor, good characters and great dialogue. All the typical characters developed well ...even the bad guys are fully realized
I love this Book, it was great, and I enjoyed Hart and his helping everyone in town, the town has big problems with King and his mean helpers. I hope the Black Ace can settle it all, which ever one it takes. Thanks Caroline Lee, I can't wait for the next book.
Loved every moment of this story. Hart and Regina are delightful. King is just as awful as he was in Caroline's previous books. Great HEA
Enjoyed most of this book, it is rated a 2 on steam level but in my opinion thats pushing it! Just dont see how its necessary to have to be so descriptive! It really doesn't add to the story line! Otherwise pretty good! Nit sure if I will read anymore from this author because I like clean and sweet reads!

It is a fast paced, ingenious story with great characters and lots of action. The romance simmers along nicely, ending in a feel good HEA. You don’t want to miss this one!
WOW! What a wonderful story! If you have read the Sunset Valley trilogy and liked it...you are going to LOVE this first book of the Black Aces series. You catch glimpses of characters from the trilogy enabling you to catch up on how they are doing. (I enjoy books that have recurring characters so you know what has happened since you turned the last page and closed the cover of their story) Of course this is a stand alone book and can be read without reading the Sunset Valley books. (But I highly recommend them!)The author has a way of capturing your attention from the first page making it hard to put the book down until the last page has been read. Hart has adored Regina from afar for quite some time. But has never approached her. When circumstances lands her in his lap (literally) he decides he must make her his!Come along on the journey of the doctors daughter and the masked Black Ace. You will be glad you did! :)
I wondered who the vigilante was in Abigail’s Adventure that was saving the town from the mobster like reign of Mr. King. It was revealed in the beginning that it is River “Hart†Hartwell, but King won’t just roll over and let him continue to thwart him. He is determined to take him down and if he has to kill the U.S. Marshall that was sent to help him catch Black Ace to make it happen, he will. Regina Vickers has helped her doctor father care for the people in Black Acres for years especially the ones that King won’t allow him to because they have stood up to him or they are outside of his control. She falls for Hart, but with King after him he’s not willing to put her life in peril. There was plenty of action, adventure, humor, and romance in this story. There were several intriguing secondary characters that could use their own stories like Alfina “Finnie†who owns the saloon and the new marshal.
The Black Ace has only been up to good for his town. He wants the best for his fellow community members. Regina wants to help her community by being her father’s right hand and helping them all stay healthy. These two people meet unexpectedly and it is a fun ride from there. I loved their story and seeing their happily ever after. This book has the laughs, action and suspense that makes you want to keep reading. I can’t wait to see what happens in the future.I received a copy from the author to read and review. All opinions are my own.
